Just like magic…

Turning the old into new the Judstuff way.

With so many more garments than ever before making their way into our charity shops, it’s never been more crucial to shop second hand to prevent as much of it from going to landfill as possible. However, if you’ve ever been for a browse and been thoroughly underwhelmed by the choices, then you might want to take a leaf out of Judith Douthwaite’s book. She created her brand Judstuff to give new life to old, tired items she finds second hand. Taking pieces she finds in charity shops, she stitches, sews, layers and appliques each item to create something fun, new, and – most-importantly – wearable. From layering an old tapestry stitching of a dog onto a sweatshirt she picked up at the YMCA, to combining a retro Adidas camo jacket and a tweed jacket from the British Heart Foundation with additional decorative stitching, each piece becomes something unique, magical, and one of a kind.
