Bishop Auckland is AGLOW

If you thought that Auckland Palace couldn’t get any more amazing then think again, because the dazzling light trail that is AGLOW returns this November and it will be dazzling visitors right until 2025 takes its final bow.

If you’ve a hankering to step into a winter wonderland over the next month or so, then you need to check out AGLOW, Auckland Palace’s superb light trail that is set to transform Bishop Auckland into a place of beauty and wonder. And this year they’ve went even bigger, even better, and even more magical than ever before. One of the largest light installations in the country, AGLOW spans an enchanting 1.5-mile-long trail bursting with Christmas sparkles, incredible illuminations, and one of the tallest Christmas trees in the north of England. Hey – we’re talking over 30 meters here! Marvel at the Tunnel of Light – the longest outdoor light tunnel in the region – and explore dozens of breath-taking installations along the way. And, just to keep you warm and cosy, you’ll find a delicious array of independent food stalls serving everything from mulled wine and hot chocolate to tempting seasonal treats. And, for younger visitors, Santa himself will be making an appearance. Sold! JL
