Barnes stormer!

Angela Barnes is at her funniest when she’s worrying about something or other, and with her new showing being called ‘Angst’, I reckon that’s the cue for big rolling laughs for the rest of us.

I love Angela Barnes’s straight-talking style. It’s relatable, down-to-earth, and she instantly puts audiences at their ease. Critics are on-board with her too including Bruce Dessau at the Evening Standard who called her: “The best mainstream female comedian I’ve seen since Sarah Millican.” (I think you can lose “female” in that sentence and it would still be true.) Her latest show sees her touching on some stories of success, but it’s mostly about tales of unmitigated failure and her distinct lack of wisdom. But, hey, that’s where the laughs always are, and, as ever, Barnes isn’t shy about going there. My advice: go with her.
