Alex E.T. is Alexandra Elaine Tapié and she hails from the ever-evolving California new-psych scene. ‘Color of Strange’ is the second album from her and her band and it skitters rather gloriously across everything from dreamy grunge to jangle-rock to West Coast mysticism (think: Jefferson Airplane and 13th Floor Elevators). The result is a thrilling ride that also has a distinct poppy edge. GM
