Ouseburn calling…
From The Cluny to Seven Stories, Cobalt Studios to The Biscuit Factory, the Ouseburn area of Newcastle is absolutely teeming with good stuff. And now all that good stuff is set to be given an aural platform via a brand new radio station called Radio OusebuRN. The project is led by Sean Bullick who has done amazing things in the north-east via his Caper events, which have taken over venues such as Baltic and The Grainger Market. His core team includes Ross Lewis from The Cluny, Mandy Baines from Seven Stories and Sara Newson from Stepney Bank Stables, and the station will run 24/7 with the emphasis being on all those who live, work and play in Ouseburn and the wider east end of Newcastle. There will be music, DJs, comedy, interviews, features, history, and – get this! – Radio OusebuRN’s very own soap opera. It’s all very exciting and is due to launch this November, but in the meantime if you’d like to get involved – with either content ideas or as a possible presenter – then drop Sean a line. Details below.
