Over time!

Overpass are currently one of the real creams of the indie crop, and they’ll be showing just why they’re being slapped heartily across the back when they play Independent in Sunderland this September.

Overpass are a very thrilling proposition indeed. A four-piece indie/alternative band from Birmingham, they’ve already won favour with huge swathes of live music fans because of knockout support slots with the likes of Two Door Cinema and Inhaler. Needless to say, they’re already big in their native Midlands and have filled the 1,500 capacity O2 Institute in Birmingham. Such clamour hasn’t went unnoticed in the wider world and the band has received support from Jack Saunders on Radio One, along with glittering notices in the likes of the NME, Dork, Clash etc. This latest tour should see them expand that growing live fanbase even more, which is exactly what lead singer Max wants: “It’s great to have loads of views on a video or something. But, like, what does it actually mean? When you see loads of people in front of you singing your songs back – that’s real. It’s tangible. It’s authentic. And that’s what Overpass is all about.” DP
