This debut EP from Mancunian quartet Westside Cowboy is a little taste of what promises to be a very exciting addition to the British rock n roll scene. The five tracks are steeped in blissful vocal harmonies, fuzzy guitars and thunderous percussion, sprawling across a variety of genres like alt-rock, slacker and country. Carving out a unique sound in such a saturated market is no mean feat, but the band’s thoughtful songwriting and fresh take on the genre - which they refer to as ‘Britanicana’ - is unlike anything I’ve heard before.
