Another One Making Clouds, the very first album from Liverpudlian duo Everything Else, scratches the exact, hazy indie itch that I am a sucker for. The reverb is turned all the way up, with gentle vocals and mournful, jangly guitar melodies providing clarity of both sound and emotion amongst fuzzy layers of distorted instrumentation and electronics. It’s a nostalgic, dreamlike soundscape that feels like looking back at blurry photos of bittersweet memories, or falling asleep on the way home from a perfect day. It’s astounding that the duo have managed to create such a cohesive and immersive album on their very first try. LT
