Be my Guest…
My interest in ‘Se Gæst | The Guest’ sky-rocketed when I saw the incredible production pics, and then, on checking out the press release, I couldn’t have been more sold on the whole caboodle. Rich with original music, physical performance and raw storytelling ‘Se Gæst | The Guest’ follows the story of a young boy who washes up on the shores of England, prompting a community in turmoil to confront their beliefs about tolerance, blame, nostalgia and the rapidly changing world around them. The brainchild of one of the region’s most feted artists, Anthony Lo-Giudice – whose work has toured both nationally and internationally – this is his most ambitious project to date and, thankfully, we’re being given multiple chances to catch it right across the north-east over the coming months.
