Ryli - Come and Get Me
This debut from San Francisco indie outfit Ryli is a perfect summer listen; sunny melodies, jangly guitars and peppy rhythms combine with frontwoman Yea-Ming Chen’s breezy vocals to create an effervescent sound that belongs by the beach. The band cite The Smiths as an influence, which is detectable in the way that their bright sound contrasts with moody lyrical content that explores anxiety, feeling trapped and toxic relationships. It’s one of those ‘no skips’ albums, which is an incredible feat for a debut. Very excited to hear more from these guys. LT
