Viral TikTok sensation Reductio (aka Matt Walters) wields a classical organ like no other, and he’s giving a free recital at Newcastle Cathedral over the August Bank Holiday.

Reductio is a real wow to see perform and it’s little wonder that clips of him working his own brand of magic have been racking up those big internet numbers. His instrument of choice is the king of all instruments – those big classical organs – and he uses them to hit punters up with an incredible stream of hits from the likes of ABBA, Coldplay, Lady Gaga, Kate Bush and more. But this Bank Holiday Monday you can put your iPads away and actually see him live at Newcastle Cathedral. It’s a free show (although donations will be appreciated as it all goes towards the cathedral’s ‘Not Just a Pipe Dream’ fundraising appeal) with seating non-allocated until you arrive. Pre-booking would be greatly appreciated to help plan for numbers but is not essential. The cathedral has recitals each Monday (starting at 1.05pm) but they don’t usually sound this poppy so don’t pass up the chance to see this incredible talent in the flesh. GM
