Blossoming in summer

As part of GemArts’ Masala Festival, Eeshar Singh with Royal Northern Sinfonia are bringing ‘Blossoming’ to The Glasshouse on Friday 18 July.

You don’t really see ‘Blossoming’, or hear it. You experience it. A breath-taking collaboration between Eeshar Singh and Glasshouse’s home orchestra Royal Northern Sinfonia, it’s a piece inspired by ancient mythology and Indic folklore, which will include a mesmerizing live performance that seamlessly weaves Indian classical instrumentation with Western orchestration and neoclassical textures.

Led by virtuoso santoor player Eeshar Singh, alongside percussionist Jeevan Singh and multi-instrumentalist Sirrjan Singh, ‘Blossoming’ is an immersive journey of stunning music and storytelling. This one-of-a-kind performance expands with a rich, lush string section, bringing new dimensions to Singh’s evocative compositions.

Blossoming, Friday 18 July, The Glasshouse, Gateshead, 8pm, from £11.30, https://theglasshouseicm.org/whats-on/gemarts-masala-festival-blossoming-eeshar-singh-rns/
