DayClubbers is coming to Sunderland this July with DJs spinning whole crates’ worth of classic tunes and a finish time that clocks in at around 8pm.

I’m loving these day/early evening rave-ups, which are proliferating across the north-east this summer. The only trouble is with a start time of 4pm, it means that I have to start getting glammed up at about midday. No matter. This time round we’ll be hit up with tracks from the 80-00s with big tunes from the likes of Robin S, N-Trance, Ultrabeat, Haddaway, Faithless, Baby D, Urban Cookie Collective, Cher (Cher!), Ace of Base, Rozalla, Stardust, Nightcrawlers, Sash!, SNAP! and loads more besides. There’ll be two rooms: Main Room (with 90s dance, trance and sing-a-longs) and Top Floor (old school RnB, 70s & 80s disco, Motown and soul). Woo-hoo!
