You shall go to the glitterball

8-piece movers and groovers Discography will be bringing a touch of disco mecca Studio 54 to Darlington this early August when they play The Forum.

You can almost feel the satin sheen of Discography’s sonics when they hit their stride. Because make no mistake, this band are very much the real deal when it comes to bringing the biggest disco/funk/soul hits of the 1970s and early 1980s to life. Their sets are truly life-enhancing things of joy featuring the biggest bangers of the bell-bottomed era from the likes of Chic, Donna Summer, Sister Sledge, Bee Gees, Grace Jones and many more besides. Their mix of glitzy glam and good times has made them firm festival favourites with their incredible musical talent, phenomenal powerhouse female and male lead singers, stunning vocal harmonies and groove-busting rhythm section. Add in those funky guitar chops, slappin’ bass, and a horn section that delivers a wall of sound, and you’ve got the complete party package. GM

Discography, Friday 1 August, The Forum, Darlington, 7.30pm, £15, theforumonline.co.uk
