The Crack Magazine

Move over David Attenborough…

Animal Planet, Blue Planet, etc, are all banging shows – I think we can all agree with that – but this July was made for Queer Planet.

As raucous as a pack of gibbons but not nearly as hairy, Bi Curious George is an award-winning drag king who has repeat sell-out shows at both the Edinburgh Fringe and right across London, and his latest ‘Queer Planet’ is an hilarious love letter to nature. It also has the aim of shattering our heteronormative narrative of how animals live. With a healthy, hearty dose of comedy, drag, and parody songs galore, this is the kind of nature trail that you never got to go on at school. MW

Queer Planet, Thursday 3 July, Alphabetti Theatre, Newcastle, 7pm, £15 (concessions from £3), alphabettitheatre.co.uk
