The Main Line - Cobalt Blue
This Darlington based Rhythm and Blues band has been together for two years now and their debut album is manna from heaven to those of us who love the urgent and vital vibes of bands such as Dr Feelgood. ‘Cobalt Blues’ works up a real sweat from the off with the four-piece hitting their straps with no little skill and aplomb. They’re also not afraid to dip back into 50s rock and roll (check out that bass on tracks such as ‘Killing Time (On The Mainline)’), and they even pull off a rowdy version of Blondie’s ‘Hanging On The Telephone’.
