Meet the writer (and the witch)

Horror film author Mark Iveson is teaming up with Lucy Dawlish (AKA HarKeTae the Witch) for a special event at the Station East pub in Gateshead this May.

Mark Iveson has a fine horror pedigree having penned such well-received tomes as ‘Cursed Horror Stars’ and ‘Vincent Price: The British Connection’. He’s also a contributor to the well-regarded horror film magazine ‘We Belong Dead’. His latest publication is ‘Peter Cushing: The Reluctant Globetrotter’, which sees him shining a light on perhaps the UK’s greatest horror film actor. Iveson will be speaking about his writing journey, and his childhood love of horror, in Gateshead this May where he will be joined by Wiccan high priestess and Priestess of Avalon HarKeTae who will be dispelling some of the myths that are often seen in today’s horror films. Acting as host is Heather Powell, co-presenter of The Friday Nightmares Project. She will be interviewing both the “writer” and the “witch” before opening the evening up to a Q&A session.

Meet The Writer, Meet The Witch, Friday 16 May, Station East pub, Hills Street, Gateshead, 6-8pm, free (book to reserve your spot), meetwritermeetwitch.eventbrite.co.uk
