Despite having released a string of singles in recent years, this latest album from Northampton-based rock trio, Liliths Army, is their first in almost 17 years. Such a comeback requires some bold new music, and that’s exactly what they deliver in these 13 fiery new tracks. Their blend of grunge, punk and metal carries plenty of 90s/early 00s flavours - their guitar riffs wouldn’t be out of place on a Nirvana album - but Sylvie Stundente’s unique vocals and their lyrics, which exist on a spectrum ranging from razor-sharp wit to visceral emotion, inject individuality into their sound.
