When you live in turbulent times, you need anarcho-hardcore punk in your life. Thankfully, north-east band Decontrol are on hand with their long-awaited third album. Needless to say, it doesn’t skimp on the aural sulphuric acid. ‘The Inevitable End’ explodes like a Molotov cocktail from the off with jack-hammering beats and huge tunes very much to the fore as everything from consumerism to coppers get it in the neck. The album finishes on ‘Jeremy Hunt’, the chorus of which writes itself. Stirring, vital, stuff. GM
