The Clothes Cycle Sustainable Fashion Market is coming to Newcastle on the first day of June, which is good news for anyone who wears clothes.

This fabulous market is taking place at the Vertu Motors Arena on Scotswood Road, which is – fact fans – the place that I had my first Covid jab. But there will be no two-metre rule at the market, which is just as well as there’s just so much stuff to cram in. This is, in fact, the largest sustainable fashion market of its type in the UK, dedicated to promoting eco-friendly fashion choices and supporting independent sellers. It will showcase over 100 (over 100!) vendors who will be offering fashion conscious punters the very best in vintage/pre-loved/handmade gear along with those all-important accessories. Attendees will also be able to enjoy music from a roster of talented DJs, indulge themselves with a variety of streetfood options, and check out the on-site nail art and tooth gem services. There will also be an all-day clothing swap and a fully licensed bar. Sold! DP
