Professor Steve Yearley, University of Edinburgh This year marks twenty years since the first draft of the human genome was created, one of humankind’s most important scientific accomplishments. In this lecture, sociologist Professor Yearley will explore how this discovery has influenced our understanding of what it means to be human. Steve Yearley is Professor of the Sociology of Scientific Knowledge and Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities at the University of Edinburgh.
