Sub Focus (his milkman calls him Nick Douwma) is one of the foremost Drum & Bass DJs around and he’ll be bringing his big bombs (i.e. good records) when he plays Newcastle this September.

Over the course of the years, Sub Focus has had a rapid rise through the hallowed ranks of underground jungle DJs to become something of a global dance music superstar. He built an enviable reputation around air-punching, dancefloor wrecking drum & bass, but he now pulls in influences from all corners of the electronic smorgasbord – which epitomises that “anything goes as long as it’s good” mantra of today’s scene. His shows are always real occasions – he’s wowed huge crowds at Glastonbury and elsewhere – and any time he plays the north-east is always worthy of celebration.
