The smash hit of the West End ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’ visits Sunderland this month to thrill theatre-goers all over again.

‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’ tells the true story of Durham’s beautiful teenage drag queen Jamie Campbell. It’s a real powerhouse of a musical with the catchiest tunes, the most fantastic cast and a strong message about making your own space if you can’t fit in. If you’re not familiar with the story then it’s about Jamie New, a 16-year-old lad who is not only navigating school as a gay teenager, but, after finding out about an old queen’s past life, exploring his identity as a drag queen. It’s a real heartwarmer that was originally a documentary, and then a film, and then the iconic stage musical that we know and love today.
