Into the Valley

The Stone Valley Festival returns to Durham this June with three days of mod, ska, punk and indie sounds.

The Stone Valley Festival offers up one of the friendliest vibes around with three days of top quality live stuff from some really big hitters who also happen to knock it out of the park when it comes to live stuff. It all kicks into gear on Friday 23 June with headliners Sham 69. They’re supported by The Skids, Neville Staple from The Specials, Secret Affair, Big Fat Panda and more. Stiff Little Fingers will be taking headline duties on Saturday 24 June with support from The Undertones, The Wedding Present, Elvana, The Lovely Eggs and a clutch of tip-top tribute acts (including The Clone Roses and The Smyths). Finally, on Sunday 25 June, Ocean Colour Scene will be bringing the curtain down on the weekend with their biggest hits. They’ll be supported by The Selecter (that’s their head honcho, Pauline Black, pictured), The Beat, Bad Manners, From The Jam, Altered Images and more. Food, drink and camping are all on offer, along with a bigger stage, new improved sound and lighting, and the ever popular scooter show ‘n’ shine.

Stone Valley Festival North, 23-25 June, Ushaw, Woodland Road, Durham, a variety of different tickets are available. Seek: stonevalleyfestival.co.uk
