Roll out the Farrell

The Farrell Centre – a new centre for architecture and cities, based in Newcastle – is opening to the public in April. Hooray!

The Farrell Centre combines a public gallery, research hub, and community space, and will be free to enter. And their inaugural exhibition is a goodie. ‘More with Less: Reimagining Architecture for a Changing World’ is a show that will offer new visions for architecture in the face of the climate emergency. In the new, light-filled galleries, four architectural practices and collaborators, each selected for their innovative approaches, have created installations that pose challenging questions around how architecture might be rethought, remade, and reimagined in response to our rapidly changing world. There will also be a programme of events accompanying the exhibition. Details from their website.

More with Less: Reimagining Architecture for a Changing World, 22 April-10 September, Farrell Centre, Newcastle, open Wed-Sun, 10am-5pm, farrellcentre.org.uk
