VOTE Globe!

The wonderful Newcastle venue The Globe have been shortlisted for the very prestigious Music Week Awards in the “Grassroots Venue: Spirit of the Scene” category. You know what to do (i.e. give them a vote…)

The Globe continues to go from strength to strength, and this nomination is confirmation of the UK wide reputation that they’re now building. The community-owned pub and venue is the perfect place to catch everything from jazz to folk, Americana to indie, electronica to pop, and it’s all served up in the most intimate of settings. What’s more, they have one of the friendliest, most punter-friendly, vibes around.

The Music Week Awards take in all sorts of categories – from Festival of the Year to Independent Record Company of the Year – and in the Grassroots Venue section, The Globe are up against the esteemed likes of King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow and Leadmill in Sheffield.

VOTE: It only takes a few seconds to vote and you can do so by visiting the website, below. (Deadline is 5pm on Friday 31 March.)
