Fridays at The Lofts in Newcastle is your go-to if you’re looking for what everyone in the know is calling “a proper rave”.

There’s oodles of good stuff going on at The Lofts this February, but the knees-up on the last Friday of that month really caught our attention. Hitting the decks will be Will Clarke, he of luxuriant facial furniture and a true dance legend in the making (his recent hits have included ‘Searching’ on his own imprint, and ‘Rock With Me’ on Patrick Topping’s Trick label). Joining him will be Ammara (pictured), a DJ who has firmly established herself as one of the best up-and-coming talents around with her unique style that fuses dark tech and old school acid sounds. Expect a night exploring the deeper side of electronic music, with underground house, minimal and techno pushed very must to the fore. GM
