Sing When You're Wynning

Megan Wyn, born in Wales, based in Manchester, is one of the hottest rising indie-rock stars around, and you can see just why she’s destined for big things when she plays Stockton in early March.

Megan Wyn drew favourable comparisons with everyone from Stevie Nicks to Debbie Harry when she released her debut single ‘Polaroid’ in 2021. It’s a deliciously creamy track, mixing 1960s beats with 1970s soulful vocals. Her second release ‘Better Of You’ was just as good, her outstanding voice pushed very much to the fore. She commented: “I wanted to capture the true emotions that come with falling for someone who isn’t very good for you, leading you to self doubt and over-think.” She’s recently toured with the likes of Trampolene, The K’s, Andrew Cushin, and Ed Cosens of Reverend and the Makers, but this latest tour sees her taking on headlining duties. And – what do you know! – she’s kicking the whole shebang off in Stockton, at the lovely Ku Bar. Get on board before she goes mega. JL
