Nothing Succeeds Like Success

Comedian Sara Pascoe is bringing her latest show ‘Success Story’ to Middlesbrough in January (and Newcastle in March).

I missed Sara Pascoe’s presence on the last series of ‘Frankie Boyle’s New World Order’, although I still managed to get my Pascoe fix through her recent BBC 2 sitcom ‘Out Of Her Mind’, as well as ‘The Great British Sewing Bee’ (which she hosted), and BBC’s ‘Last Woman On Earth’. It’s live on stage where she really shines though (as anyone who saw ‘LadsLadsLads’ will tell you) and her latest show is all about success and trying to get it. When she was 14 she decided she wanted to be famous, a desire which saw her auditioning for Barrymore, scaring Pete Burns, and ruining Hugh Grant’s birthday…

Sara Pascoe: Saturday 28 January, Middlesbrough Town Hall, 7.30pm, from £23.50, middlesbroughtownhall.co.uk; Thursday 16 March, Tyne Theatre & Opera House, 7.30pm, from £16, tynetheatreandoperahouse.uk
