Saxy Beast

Steve Bone Sax is just one of the delights on offer at the next Kryptic, which will be lighting up Middlesbrough in early February.

Lovely Laura is probably the world’s foremost let’s-get-this-sax-party-started practitioner, but the north-east’s very own Steve Bone Sax is just as hot and always takes club nights up to hitherto unexplored heights. And he’ll be cranking the temperature right up at the next Kryptic, which celebrates its first anniversary in February. The night – which features proper soulful funky house, both new and old school – is brought to you by David Lewis aka Grandpafunk, who’ll be hitting all those Serious House Rave buttons hard. Also set to grace the decks are Craig Chisman (ex-Tall Trees resident) and Mike Johnson (The Fresco & Manor Born legend), both insanely talented DJs. Prices – as ever – will be kept at the pocket-pleasing end of the spectrum. GM

Kryptic, Saturday 4 February, Disgraceland, Middlesbrough, 8pm-2am, from £4.50. skiddle.com
