‘Tin Man’ – from the highly esteemed Joss Arnott Dance – is a truly magical retelling of a classic story, and it’s coming to Dance City this December.

It doesn’t feel like Christmas to me unless I’ve spent some quality time with the Tin Man and chums. But this take on his tale comes at things from an entirely new angle. In the deep dark woods the Witch loves to play devious games and discovers that the Tin Man has no heart. The Witch sets the Tin Man a task of finding it to receive more precious oil. The Tin Man is left alone with what seems to be an impossible task, but what they don’t know is that the adventure that lies ahead is much more hopeful than they could ever imagine. Told through enchanting storytelling, dramatic choreography, stunning costumes and lighting – as well as a newly commissioned score by award-winning composer Anna Appleby – this family friendly show (ages 7+) is utterly captivating from beginning to end.
