New Bond Sorted

Actually, James Bond would never have a beard. Scratch that. Looks like The Overtones will have to keep thrilling us the only way they know how – through their awesome live shows. They’re in Sunderland this December.

And, I’m pleased to confirm, The Overtones are absolutely brilliant live. Yes, they’ve got the sharp suits, the super-slick choreography, and those voices to die for, but they also have that all important ability to really connect with an audience. They turn every gig into a party and I was swept away the last time I saw them, leaving the auditorium on a real wave of good cheer. The four-piece burst onto the music scene 10 years ago and have since racked up multi-platinum records sales while playing some of the most prestigious venues in the UK including The London Palladium and The Royal Albert Hall. Their take on classics such as ‘I Say a Little Prayer’, ‘Love Really Hurts Without You’ and ‘Celebration’ – as well as their own compositions like ‘Gambling Man’ – have racked up millions of plays, but it’s in the live arena that you really need to hear them. Trust me. JL
