Mary Xmas

One of the UK’s foremost wildlife artists, Mary Ann Rogers, is holding a series of open days in the run up to Christmas.

These open days – at Mary Ann Rogers’ gallery in Hexham – have become a real fixture of the festive season and with good reason. They’re amazing! Mulled wine. Tick. Home made mince pies. Tick. Fairy lights. Tick. Bran tub ‘lucky dip’ gifts for kids. Tick. Over three weekends, visitors will get the chance to wander round Rogers’ gallery – and right through her home – which will be filled with new paintings, prints and beautiful exquisite gifts including new recycled cotton, super soft ‘hounds’ throws, bone china tableware, art materials, stationary, gorgeous hats and even backpacks. There are also jigsaws (love that 300-piece guinea fowl puzzle) and jewellery from Linden Craven, steel firepits (from Phil’s Firepits) and beautiful wreaths from Northumbrian Flowers. Kate Norris will also be holding a wreath-making workshop on 2 December (bookings only). Get the full low-down, from the website, below.

Mary Ann Rogers Open Days: Friday 25 November (preview all the new paintings), Saturday 26 & Sunday 27 November + Saturday 3 & Sunday 4 December + Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 December, 10am-5pm. Mary Ann Rogers Gallery, West Woodburn, Hexham, NE48 2SE. marogers.com
