Fight Club

Raucous Newcastle three-piece Tired of Fighting are headlining a gig at Head of Steam, which is packing truly superb support.

There are four acts set to play this night and they’ll all be bearing gifts. Tired of Fighting found airplay right from the get-go with BBC Newcastle and BBC Tees getting on board with their debut single ‘Tired of Failing’, which was a fine showcase for their passionate alt-rock. They’re a band that wear their punky hearts on their emotive sleeves, and the glorious racket they make simply demands to be heard in the live arena. Travelling down from Thurso are one of Scotland’s finest – certainly when you’re talking indie-rock – and that’s Forgetting the Future. This citrus sharp four piece are currently on the up and up and have already supported the likes of Sam Fender. Also along for the ride are Silk Road (brace yourselves as these post-rocking locals unleash a raw sound that barrels along like a runaway train) and India Arkin (a local lass who we’ve previously sung the praises of who spins together indie-pop of a sublime nature).
