Hair Today...

A fresh and family-friendly retelling of ‘Repunzel’ by Carol Ann Duffy performed by leading dance theatre company balletLORENT? Yes please!

Oh my! Is there anything this production doesn’t have? Not only has it been penned by former poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy – and is being performed by one of the finest troupes in the region, balletLORENT – it also has music from award-winning composer Murray Gold (Doctor Who, Gentleman Jack, It’s A Sin), which is being performed by the Royal Northern Sinfonia. Oh, it also has costumes from Michele Clapton (Game of Thrones, The Crown). Full of colour and emotion, this mighty production sees Rapunzel entrapped in the tower because her hair grows so long. This retelling is narrated by leading actor Lesley Sharp (The Full Monty) and is choreographed and directed by Liv Lorent. GM
