Let's Go Afro Fusion!

The superb four-day family camping extravaganza that is Harambee Pasadia returns in June with a celebration of the diverse cultures, food, music and fusions of the African diaspora.

Harambee? It’s Swahili for ‘Let’s get together’. Pasadia? It’s Spanish for ‘to spend the day’. And this super-friendly family festival is inviting you to spend up to FOUR days with them this year with a line-up that is positively sizzling. On hand – as always – will be the brilliant Afro-Latin duo, Ladies of Midnight Blue (pictured). They will be joined by Kevin Haynes and his band Grupo Elegua, Voices of Virtue Gospel Choir, Hannabiell & The Midnight Blue Collectiva, Sidiki Dembele Denifari, LayFullstop, Aida Drop, Let Drum Beat, and many more besides. There will also be a plethora of workshops to tackle featuring everything from zumba to pottery, music for under 5s to body percussion. Other activities to get involved with range from sensory spaces to BMX, high ropes to water activities (and plenty more besides). Grab the full programme from the website, below.

Harambee Pasadia, 23-26 June, TCR The Hub, Barnard Castle. A whole raft of tickets are available from four day passes to day passes.
