Only One Winner

It’s Pressure V Clubland Classix and there can only be one result: a win for north-east clubbers.

I love these ‘V’ events. You know, so-and-so ‘V’ so-and-so. They’re a double-whammy of delirious decks action with DJs from both parties joining forces for much megawatt mayhem – a party to end all parties. And these Pressure V Clubland Classix are a particular thrilling example of the genre as evinced by last year’s Halloween event when Cascada were the special guests. Pressure, of course, is one of Scotland’s most revered club nights, with everyone from Laurent Garnier to Felix da Housecat playing there; while Clubland Classix – as the name kind of hints at – are renowned for hitting punters up with cuts from the likes of N-Trance (pictured), Ultrabeat, Scooter, and, well, you get the picture. If you’re in the market for rump-shaking anthems then you’re in the mood for this. DP

Pressure V Clubland Classix, Saturday 28 May, The Point, Sunderland, 9pm, £15.
