A Touch of Classix

If, in early February, you’ve got a thirst for three decades of dance music, then all roads lead to one of Sunderland’s best little venues: The Saltgrass.

The Saltgrass aim to please, which is another way of saying they like a party. And boy, have they thrown some belters over the last couple of months, from Celtic knees-ups at Christmas to 1980s-themed Halloween nights. What’s more, they also enjoy plenty of hot DJ action and Classix, an all-dayer if you please, should be a real doozy with a plethora of DJs lining up to hit us up with three decades’ worth of the best in dance anthems drawn from house, trance and old skool. Among those spinning the tunes will be Darran Curry, Ian Murphy, Jamie Hubble, Jay Howard, Keil Young, Langan & Lodgey, Lee Harker, Mozzan8 St4te, Neil Foreel, Paul Tracy, Slipcode, Ste Emmerson, Tally and more. Gonna be hotter than the sun. JL

Classix, Saturday 5 February, The Saltgrass, Sunderland, 12pm-12am, £8. skiddle.com
