Criminal Gets Set to Play Newcastle

Interplanetary Criminal that is. He’s hitting the decks at the next Ape-X. Ape-X’s parties at Cobalt are always pretty raucous affairs (the likes of Dan Shake, Joy Orbison, Bjarki and Space Dimension Controller have all played in the past) and December’s bash looks equally enticing. Heading the bill is one of the most in-demand DJs/artists around, Interplanetary Criminal, a fella who is right at the sharp end of the garage revival. He’s a fella not averse to a bit of darkened jungle and breakbeat and he’s sure to bring only the good stuff when he plays this bash. Naturally, he won’t be fostering a party vibe all on his own. Able support arrives in the shape of Luke Scott (a huge influence on the local scene) and Becky Woodcock (a wow in both Newcastle and Manchester).

Ape-X: Interplanetary Criminal, Saturday 11 December, Cobalt Studios, Newcastle, 10pm-3am, from £13.62.
