myfavethings20.jpg Get jazzed (and funked)

MFT (say it with me: My Favourite Things) and Friends are back in Stockton this April to hit you up with a soundtrack featuring all things jazz, funk and soul. Expect this one – as always – to go off like a firework.

Did I mention Latin? Because in among all the jazz, the funk and the soul, there will also be a healthy dollop of Latin sounds, sounds which always grab a party by the lapels and sprinkle stardust all over it. What makes these nights so damn fun is the bonhomie they manage to lather up with the friendly patrons eager to cut a rug to some of the hottest retro sounds around. It’s all hosted by the estimable My Favourite Things founder Craig Walton who – even as we speak – is rummaging around his big trunk of delights for some classic anthems designed to put a rocket under any party. Of course, he can’t do everything on his own and he will be ably supported by Wally Francis, Billy Morgan and Norm Yates. Bring your dancingest trousers. You’re going to need them.
