digitalMK20.jpg MK my words

Hero of house MK is such a fan of his own work that he’s had his own name tattooed on the back of his hand. Fancy that! He’s coming to Digital in April to unleash all manner of aural party-poppers.

MK (his mother calls him Marc Kinchen) is among the most revered producers, remixers and DJs working today. His roots are pure Detroit but if you dig a little deeper you will find that his musical path is made up of seamless transitions from house and techno to hip-hop and R&B. Incredibly his discography includes over 500 titles that bear the stamp of his signature style. These tracks range from his iconic worldwide hits to secret underground dancefloor weapons. His debut release came out in 1989 and since then he’s started his own highly successful Area 10 label. He now lives in Los Angeles, where, needless to say, he is in huge demand, but he’s found time in his busy schedule for this one-off Newcastle date. Support comes from tech house up-and-comer KC Lights and local favourite Louie Dunmore.
