Uneasy Laughter (Sub Pop)

This trio of LA types bubbled up from the fertile DIY scene over there and won much praise for their self-titled debut album, which was released in 2018. And the post-punkers have upped their game for their second release that manages to harness the edgy and the melodic very nicely indeed. At times they call to mind cool British bands from the 80s/90s such as House of Love, which is OK by me.
