...you people wouldn't believe. The one and only Bladerunner (pictured) is playing the next Lively Up in Newcastle, and it promises to be all kinds of special.

D’n’B and junglist specialists Lively Up have decided to go BIG for their next party at World Headquarters and helping them pull the aural party poppers will be one of the prime movers and groovers of the Kings of the Rollers collective, Bladerunner. He was first spotted by Ray Keith and signed to Dread Recordings, where he remixed jungle classics Renegade Terrorist, The Chopper and Dark Soldier. And his forward thinking take on the jungle sound has won him legions of fans from heads to producers alike with tracks such as ‘Back to the Jungle’ and ‘Feel For You’. And this gig should be all killa no filla as supporting will be Newcastle’s very own Nectax (who has always managed to capture that all important vibe and run with it), Crinnion and DMNK. This one’s gonna go off – I believe the term is – big style.

Lively Up: Bladerunner, Friday 27 March, World Headquarters, Carliol Square, Newcastle, 11pm, £10-£14. welovewhq.com
