First Broadway, then Las Vegas, now the world! ‘Friends! The Parody Musical’ has sent critics in paroxysms of delight and it’s got two dates in the north-east this month.

I love ‘Friends’. It’s like my favourite bra. Colourful, cosy and anyone who sees it usually has an unstoppable fit of the giggles. And the genius of ‘Friends! The Musical Parody’, is that they love it just as much as I do. This affectionate tribute sees us all whisked back to 1990s Manhattan where Ross, Chandler, Monica, Phoebe, Joey and Rachel are still in situ and trying to tiptoe their way through all the pitfalls of work, life and love. It’s a fast-paced, good-natured romp of a production and the songs are right on the money too. You’ll laugh! You’ll cry! You’ll Unagi! Things begin – where else, in New York’s only coffee shop, Central Perk – where a runaway bride enters the picture and kicks the gang into action...
