Unsaid (self release)

This Russian band (singing in English) are a new one on me, but I’m glad to make their acquaintance as their latest album contains a myriad of delights. They paddle in distinctly indie-alt-pop waters and they certainly know how to pen songs full of memorable hooks and interestingly melodic bits of rug-pulling. It’s all nicely layered, complex without being annoying, and comparisons with the likes of The National and Wild Beasts are certainly not wide of the mark.
