Theatre Space NE don’t make mere ‘shows’. Their award-winning productions are veritable expeditions and their latest ‘The Butcher’s Tale’ is coming to Gateshead in March.

In 1907, Windy Nook Co-op fell prey to a spate of burglaries. Rather than involve the police, the committee members chose to solve this problem themselves, with consequences that shook the entire community. But could things have worked out differently? In this innovative production, you – the audience! – have the chance to shape the events that took place all those years ago. Can tragedy be avoided, or will you only make things worse? Join one of the most innovative troupes in the region, Theatre Space NE, for this unique re-telling of events that made Windy Nook national news. (Age 16+.)

The Butcher’s Tale, Saturday 7 March, Central Library, Prince Consort Road, Gateshead, 7.30pm, £7.50. gateshead.gov.uk
