Lou Sanders is set to be the next real breakout star of stand-up and she’s bringing her new show to The Stand in February.

No one does over-sharing quite like Lou Sanders but it’s all for a good cause, that cause being one of the most damn funny shows I’ve seen in an age (at the Edinburgh Fringe last year where it went down a real storm). Entitled ‘Say Hello To Your New Step-Mummy’ it sees Sanders delving deep into family relationships as well as her sex life – both past and present. By doing so she’s not afraid to show herself – by her own admission – in not perhaps the best of lights. She has been a big hit on shows like ‘Taskmaster’, and, indeed, she does a hilarious piece on finding a not too complimentary thread all about her on Reddit. She’s also appeared on everything from ‘QI’ to ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’, but it’s in the live arena that you really need to experience her. Get to it.
