The Jive Aces will be getting into the swing of things when they visit Hexham and Durham this February.

The Jive Aces came to national attention when they reached the semi-finals of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ with an act that they had honed to perfection in sizzling gigs up and down the country. Their shows are a real revue with their dancers putting their best feet forward for some astonishing tap-dancing moves. And it’s a show bursting with colour and positively thrumming with some of the classic songs of the 1940s and 50s from the likes of Louis Prima, Bobby Darin, The Andrew Sisters and Ella Fitzgerald – along with a selection of originals culled from their numerous studio albums. This show launched to much fanfare at the Edinburgh Fringe, where the sold-out notices were swiftly put in place, and, pleased to report, their UK tour sees them touching base with the north-east for two shows. Prepare yourself for maximum heat.

The Jive Aces: Saturday 15 February, Queen’s Hall Arts Centre, Hexham, 7.30pm, £18/£16, queenshall.co.uk; Sunday 16 February, Gala Theatre, Durham, 730pm, £22, galadurham.co.uk
