prideparty19.jpg Looks like a party to me

2020 is a huge year for Northern Pride because, after a successful bid from the committee at the UK Pride Organisers Network, this year’s Pride in Newcastle will also act as UK Pride.

It’s true! This year’s Northern Pride (set to take place from 19-21 July) will also be slapped with a rosette proudly proclaiming ‘UK Pride’. Imagine! But it’s a well-deserved accolade with the Newcastle knees-up growing exponentially each year. In 2019 tens of thousands of people attended the event and 22,000+ people took part in the Stonewall Remembrance March through the city. And Northern Pride will be kicking off celebrations in fine style with a UK Pride launch party at the Discovery Museum. It’s here they will be sharing some of the big announcements about the year ahead. Needless to say, it won’t be a staid affair. The ever-excellent DJs from Poke will be whipping up the sounds and keeping the dancefloor jumping, and the Be Scene dancers will be doing their stuff, too. If you want the lowdown on all the 2020 gossip, then this is where you need to be.

UK Pride Launch Party, Saturday 1 February, Discovery Museum, Blandford Square, Newcastle, 7.30pm-12pm, £10. northern-pride.com/event/uk-pride-launch-party
