Whisper it, but I reckon this year’s Stand Christmas Specials are going to be their best yet.

Their best yet? It’s a bold claim but I can only go off their line-up which looks all kinds of amazing. Running from 9-14 December each night will feature star turns from – drum roll – Jason Cook (pictured - one of the region’s finest and mover and groover behind the South Tyneside Comedy Festival), Lost Voice Guy (the one and only winner of 2018’s Britain’s Got Talent), Sammy Dobson (this Geordie lass is on the up and up), David Callaghan (always a wow at the Edinburgh Fringe this charismatic performer is also known for BBC Radio’s ‘Jesting About’) and host Joe Heenan (the Scottish comic is a regular host at The Stand in Glasgow and Edinburgh and it’s great to have him in Newcastle). That’s Christmas sorted. If you’d also like a laugh in the run up to new year then be sure to check out Hootfest, which runs from 27-31 December (check their website for details on this).
